AIPMA inks landmark deal with KIZAD
Before delving deeper into the pioneering agreement inked between the apex body of the Indian plastic industry, AIPMA and KIZAD from Abu Dhabi, it is important to clarify queries relating to who provides certificate of origin. It should be duly noted that the certificate of origin is an essential document for imports/exports and it is provided by the All India Plastic Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) as well. This proves handy for all members and representative bodies who are a part of the association. AIPMA has been authorized by none other than the DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade), Government of India, for issuing this certificate to all exporters. People desirous of obtaining the same may contact AIPMA accordingly. The form may also be downloaded from the website.
Coming to the pioneering deal, the All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) has entered into a highly strategic agreement with none other than KIZAD (Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi) which is a subsidiary entity of Abu Dhabi Ports. The agreement will cover support for investors in Indian polymers with regard to expanding their overall economic and geographic reach via KIZAD. The decision also indicates the growth of KIZAD Polymers Park as a major distribution and manufacturing location for the global plastics industry. The agreement has already been signed in Dubai and this highlighted the access for KIZAD Polymers Park to important raw materials from regionally based producers and better connectivity via KIZAD’s strategic transportation links including international airports and the flagship deep-water port of Abu Dhabi Ports, Khalifa Port.
The CEO at Abu Dhabi Ports, Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, has already stated that KIZAD is looking forward towards hosting more Indian businesses while building a better business ecosystem for companies from across the world. The CEO at KIZAD, Samir Chaturvedi, has also stated that the new agreement will be a major step towards boosting growth and development of the sizable polymers and plastics industry in India. KIZAD Polymers Park, according to him, has been specifically tailored towards enabling the plastics industry to reap the benefits of greater efficiency in terms of time and costs. It is a highly suitable location that offers the best logistics for plastics companies to venture into foreign locations or execute their expansion plans.
