Canada Invites 500 Express Entry Candidates To Apply For Permanent Residency On May 26

Canada has sent out 500 Express Entry invitations to candidates so they could apply for permanent residency.

The latest draw was carried out on May 26, 2021.

The CRS score requirement for this draw dropped by 39 points compared to the last PNP-specific draw, said a report by CICNews.

In order to get an invitation to apply for such, Express Entry candidates are required to have a nomination from a PNP (Provincial Nominee Program).

The minimum requirement was 713, because candidates automatically receive 600 points because of PNP.

Without the nomination, the lowest-scoring candidate would have had a score of just 113 points in CRS.

Another thing about this draw was that Canada only invited 500 people, that is 57 fewer candidates.

The score requirement also dropped by 39 points.

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) publishes a cutoff time for the tie-break rule as a “administrative requirement” even if there was an actual tie.

In the latest draw that was carried out, candidates who had the minimum score were only invited if they submitted their Express Entry profile before April 06, 2021 at 9:50:14 UTC.
