Citroën C4 Aircross

Following the success of the new Citroën C4, which has sold more than 100,000 units since its launch around a year ago, the brand is now expanding its product range with a completely new offering: the Citroën C4 Aircross. With the combination of design and technological innovation, the Citroën C4 Aircross is geared towards the diverse needs of everyday life. The Citroën C4 Aircross – available with two-wheel and four-wheel drive depending on the engine – will be available from spring 2012.

The Citroën C4 Aircross draws its style from the brand’s genes and combines the dynamism of a model from the existing model range with the muscular lines of a four-wheel drive vehicle.
A strong style: side air inlets accentuate the front with horizontal lines, which underlines its compactness. The modeling of the bonnet, the enlarged wheel arches and the short overhangs reinforce the impression of robustness emanating from this new silhouette.

Attention to detail : each element is selected for a harmonious union between style and efficiency. At the front, the LED lights are integrated vertically into the air intakes, forming the signature of the Citroën C4 Aircross, which shines day and night. Inspired by the concept car Hypnos, the design of the 18-inch wheels and the rear view have been optimized for better aerodynamics and a reduction in CO2 emissions.

The Citroën C4 Aircross has side mirrors with integrated indicators, rear lights with integrated light strips and a reversing camera. Its expressive lines correspond exactly to the Citroën design: in profile, the shark fin is reminiscent of the Hypnos concept car. It is adorned with a chromed compass rose, which underlines the C4 Aircross’s membership in the Citroën SUV family.

Thanks to a variable four-wheel drive of the latest generation, the Citroën C4 Aircross offers perfect road holding in all conditions. The technology allows permanent use of the all-wheel drive through optimal torque distribution to the front and rear wheels. The vehicle has a rotary knob in the center console that allows the driver to manually select three different drive modes: two-wheel mode (2WD) for low fuel consumption, four-wheel mode (4WD),

In line with the brand’s high ambitions in terms of environmental protection, the Citroën C4 Aircross is one of the best of the best when it comes to CO2 emissions. An example of this is the HDi 110 engine in conjunction with a manual six-speed gearbox. To allow everyone to choose the version that best suits their lifestyle, the HDi 110 engine is offered in both 2WD and 4WD versions.

Its compact dimensions (4.34 m long; 1.80 m wide; 1.63 m high) and its maneuverability (10.6 m turning radius) allow it to maneuver around town with ease. The interior with five seats and a trunk volume of 442 liters corresponds to the space available in a luxury class sedan and meets the requirements of modern everyday life. In line with the values of the brand, Citroën has developed a chassis set-up that optimally combines comfort and dynamics.

The Citroën C4 Aircross offers its driver a higher seating position and thus a perfect view. The Citroën C4 Aircross has a panoramic glass roof that lets light into the interior and contributes to the well-being of the passengers. At night there is a pleasant ambience and LED lights give the panoramic glass roof additional shine. The ergonomics of the driver’s seat and the controls ensure intuitive handling and a high level of user-friendliness.
