Hannah Carr Peterson is the Associate Teacher of Central Florida Irish Dance. Hannah became an associate member of Chomhdháilna Múinteoirí le Rincí Gaelacha Teoranta otherwise known as AnChomhdháil – The congress of Irish Dance Teachers In 2018 and was delighted to join Central Florida Irish Dance, currently the largest Irish Dance school for An Chomhdháil, in the USA. Hannah was born in Co. Mayo, Ireland and began dancing for the Sylvan Kelly School of Irish Dance at the age of 4. She competed worldwide in many National and International competitions, placing top 5 at the British Nationals, Europeans and Connacht’s, top 10 at the North American Nationals and top 20 at the CLRG All-Ireland and World Championships. Hannah played an instrumental part in helping her twin sister Heather win the CLRG World Championships in 2009, with endless months of coaching and training with her, by her side, every step of the way.

Hannah turned professional at the age of 18 touring with world renowned Irish Dance shows such as Gaelforce Dance and Celtic Legends. In 2013 she joined the Raglan Road Irish dance troupe in Walt Disney World, Florida where she was one of the lead dancers for over 4 years. During this time Hannah was lucky enough to meet her Husband, and got married in the fall of 2016, in a beautiful lakefront ceremony, in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Irish Dancing Comission Florida

Having now settled in Orlando with her husband, Hannah is delighted to become part of the Central Florida Irish dance family. She has a burning passion to bring out the best in students whilst teaching the importance of hard work and tenacity. Hannah is also a professional dancer in the Irish Echoes professional dance troupe in Orlando and is studying for her TCRG exam which she will sit in 2021.
