GFW is a time-honored tradition

It’s time to start thinking about your Top Formal Destinations for the Greek Formal Weekend. Here are some considerations when choosing where you want to spend the weekend. You can choose an all-inclusive resort that offers everything from golfing, spa treatments, or even a pool party with club music. Or you may prefer one of the many beautiful resorts that offer seclusion and peacefulness. Another option would be a large city such as Miami or New York where you can visit popular attractions like Times Square or Central Park. No matter what destination you choose, it’s going to be a lot of fun!

GFW usually happens in the spring

In the United States, most colleges have a formal event during spring break. Some schools have their formal on the same day as their spring break, while other schools may have their formal on a different day than their break. Some universities call it a formal, while others use the term fancy dress. Regardless of what you call it, getting dressed up for these events can be one of the best parts about them! The opportunities for dressing up are endless–and you don’t need an expensive gown or suit to look great. An elegant dress paired with some killer heels will do just fine (and saves money).

There are many top destinations for GFW in America, such as Harvard University in Massachusetts or Duke University in North Carolina.

GFW is a great way to meet new people

The Greek formal weekend, or GFW for short, has grown in popularity over the past few years. This event is a reunion for fraternity brothers who graduated from college at least four years ago. It’s a chance to make new friends, have fun with old ones, reminisce about old times and of course – party. If you’re looking to visit this Top Formal Destination in the future, here are some details you need to know

GFW is a great way to reconnect with old friends

It’s that time of the year again! With Spring in full swing, family obligations coming up, and more importantly school winding down, it’s the perfect time to reconnect with old friends. Greek formals are a great way to do this because you get a break from school for a night, have some great food, dance with friends (or strangers) and enjoy yourself for once. This weekend was my first formal experience as a new member of Lambda Chi Alpha at UMass Amherst. I had so much fun meeting new people from different fraternities while also catching up with old friends who I don’t see often enough.
