Protecting your possessions with a home alarm has now become a priority. But which alarm to choose? In this article, we will analyze the products offered by the market suitable to meet any need, even economic or IVF Insurance.

According to Census, there are 689 a day, 29 every hour, one every two minutes. They increase in particular in the summer months, when people leave their homes unattended to allow themselves a few days of well-deserved vacation. So how can you protect your home from thieves? Often a home alarm is installed only after a theft has been suffered, so it is done quickly, without carefully evaluating the different security systems and understanding which one has the most suitable features for our needs.

All alarm systems, from the perimeter and/or volumetric ones (depending on whether they defend the house from the outside or the inside), to the wired or wireless ones, are composed of three fundamental elements:

  • The control unit: the ‘brain’ of the alarm that allows the system to detect images and data and manage them as information.
  • The detectors: the sensors needed to detect the presence of an intruder in the house
  • Alarm devices: equipment intended to signal outside the presence of a thief in the house. The notification can come via siren, an optical signal, call to the security, or message to the owner

Home burglar alarm: which one to choose

Relying on professionals for the choice of home alarm is essential to avoid making mistakes or wrong decisions.

Choosing the most suitable security system is not easy and depends on various factors and the characteristics of the home such as the size, location (isolated or close to other homes), and the presence of outdoor spaces.

On the market, there is a wide range of home alarms specially designed to secure any type of building. Each anti-theft device is installed differently and has specific features:

  1. Volumetric home burglar alarm: allows you to signal the thief through a series of sensors that recognize their presence thanks to the recording of movements and variations in temperature.
  2. Perimeter system with control of doors and windows: effectiveness is linked to invisibility, it is placed in the internal part of the closure of windows, doors, and balconies and is difficult to identify. The alarm is triggered only when the external frames are opened. The system allows tenants to move freely around the house.
  3. Video surveillance system: the cameras film the internal and/or external area of the house, record the images, process the information, and arrive at giving automatic answers based on the data collected by the sensors and, above all, by the lens. It allows you to control all environments continuously both day and night. However, installation may be costly and human supervision is required for it to be effective.
  4. Wired alarm systems: the wired alarm system is characterized by having all the components, powered by a low voltage circuit, connected by wires or electrical cables that must be embedded in the walls. If the electrical cables are cut, the alarm is triggered automatically, and this is certainly an advantage because it means that the system cannot be tampered with.
  5. Wireless alarm systems: the various elements of the home burglar alarm are not connected by cables, but only over the air, through electromagnetic waves. Surely a positive side of this type of system is that they do not have a complex installation. The problem you may encounter is a malfunction of the alarm caused by radio interference.

Home burglar alarm: prices

A home burglar alarm does not prevent theft but merely reports it, allowing you to intervene promptly to block thieves or scare them. At best, in fact, at the first siren, the thieves run away.

Home alarm systems differ in price and performance. The price difference, however, does not correspond to lower effectiveness, but simply to a different level of security and easier installation.

Generally, we can find home burglar alarms from € 300, such as wireless systems that can be installed independently, up to € 2000 for video surveillance systems connected to a security center. If you do not have an adequate budget for the purchase of a real home burglar alarm, you can consider the use of fake video surveillance cameras, false sirens or dissuading signs, excellent tools to intimidate thieves, and dissuade them from carrying out the theft.

There are therefore numerous aspects to be evaluated to protect one’s assets and users often find themselves unprepared and confused because, in the end, the home is the place where we feel safest. So why not prevent it?
