How to Empty Trash on Android Phones and Tablets

Always low on storage and phone or tablet is working really slow? If that sounds like your phone or tablet, you need to free up some space and clear some trash buddy! Like computers, androids, and tablets don’t have any recycle bin to restore files from. So how do you delete the junk? Don’t worry, there are ways in which you can clear your trash files from Android and Tablets.

1. Empty Trash On Google Photos

Did you know that even after deleting pictures from Google Photos, they are collected in the trash? But yes, you can delete them. Though they stay in the trash only for a limited period of time before vanishing, you can delete them on your own and improve your Android/Tablet’s performance. All you need to do is open Google Photos and find the ‘Hamburger’ icon at the top left of the page. After clicking on it, select the ‘Trash folder’. Now, from the top right corner, tap on the 3-dot menu, and choose ‘Empty Trash’. Finally, hit ‘Delete’.

2. Empty Trash On Gmail App

We often delete spam and promotion emails from our Google Account to maintain a clear Gmail account. However, these mails are always there, stored in the trash. To remove them, Open your Gmail and click on the ‘Hamburger’ icon. From the left side menu panel, choose ‘Trash’. Now tap on the ‘Empty Trash Now’ option and hit ‘Confirm’ to delete it.

3. Empty Trash Files Using ES Files Explorer

Do you use ES Files Explorer to manage files, and you have enabled the Recycle Bin? If that’s so, your files once you delete them are moved to the Recycle Bin which accumulates unnecessary space on your device. To clear it, open your ES Files Explorer app and find a ‘menu’ button at the top left corner. Now click on that, and from the dropdown menu panel, choose ‘tools’ and then choose ‘Recycle Bin’. Now click on ‘Clear Files’ to delete all the unnecessary trash.

ES Files Explorer also allows you to get rid of the unwanted junk files on your Android device. To do so, open the app, and on the home page, click on the ‘Cleaner’ icon. The app will do its work and find out all the junk in your device. Now hit ‘Clean now’ to clear all the junk. You can also uncheck the boxes of those files you need.

4. Clear App Cache Or Uninstall The App

Another good way to free up some space and improve your device’s performance is to clear the cache. You know, it’s better to clear the cache associated with the app, then to clear trash files of that app. Plus, it’s really easy to do. Just go to your phone settings and find ‘Apps & Notifications’. Now click on that and select the app you want to delete the cache from. Click on the ‘Storage & Cache’ option and tap on ‘Clear Cache’. It’s done! Also, there is no point in making the apps you don’t use occupy space needlessly. So clear some unused apps from your device and see the change in the performance of your Android or Tablet.

In these few simple steps, you can clear the trash from your Androids phones or tabs. These are the best and the easiest ways to clear space and make your work well. This will also speed up your phone a bit. We guess this guide was helpful to you and you will definitely try them!
