How to fix Office 365 error – “Account Error”?

Step 1 – Make sure your Office 365 (home or personal) Subscription is active
• You need to quit all the Office apps, if open.
• Visit your Services and Subscriptions page.
• After visiting the page, if the message prompt to Sign-in. Go for Sign-in, with your Microsoft email id and password.
• Read the details under Office 365 heading.
• If the subscription has expired, then renew it.
• Now go and try to open your MS -Word. If you still face the same issue, then go to the next step.
Step 2 –Make sure the payment page is updated, properly
• You need to close all the Office apps, if open.
• Visit your Payment Options page.
• After visiting the page, if the message prompt to Sign-in. Go for Sign-in, with your Microsoft email id and password.
• If the payment page shows error in payment, solve it and update it.
• Now, go and try to open your MS -Word. If you still face the same issue, then go to the next step.
Step 3 – Run the troubleshooter of Office Activation
• You need to click on the download button when prompted on the screen.
• Then you need to select the browser from the list to see, how to save and launch the troubleshooter.
• If you still face the same issue, then go to the next step.
Step 4 – Deactivate, Uninstall and Reinstall Office Setup 365
• You need to deactivate your Office 365 install by following the correct steps to do the same.
• Go for using the easy fix tool, for completely erase your Office 365, by following the correct steps to do the same.
• Reinstall Office365 on your PC or Mac, by following the correct steps to do the same.
