How to Get the Most Out of Your Amazon Account

Photo Storage

Did you know that Amazon provides cloud storage for pictures to its Prime subscribers?

Yes, it does; that too unlimited. You can automatically back up phone photos right after you click them. All you need is the Amazon Photos app. It is available for both Android and iOS.

Calculate your Cost

Amazon allows you to keep track of your expenditure. If you’re logged into Your Account, then go to Your Orders. Here, you will see a list of everything you’ve purchased in the past and the total of what you have spent so far.  You can export all of this data in the spreadsheet-friendly CSV format with the help of the Order History Reports page.

Deregister Old Devices

It’s always a good idea to unlink your Amazon account from the previous devices you’ve lost or sold. This helps keep your data which you might have saved, secure. This can be done by selecting Your Account from the Amazon website, then click on Manage Your Content and Devices. Select the Devices tab to check all the devices you’ve logged in on, and deregister the older ones, if any.

Customize your Wishlist

Everyone is probably aware of the default wishlist, but you can create custom lists too. There are three types to choose from—Shopping Lists, Wish Lists, and the Idea Lists.

To create your Idea List: Click on Your Lists. After that, click on Create a List on the web. A dialogue box will appear with the three different options to choose from. Select the Idea List and your list will be created.

Enable/Disable the Auto-Play

This little change might help you control your habit of binge-watching. You can disable the feature in Amazon Prime which automatically queues up the next episode.

To do so: Go to Accounts & settings and click Playback. Switch off the auto-play feature from here.

Compare the Prices

Amazon offers this smart feature which helps you to compare prices in a retail store with what you would pay on Amazon. You just need to scan the item’s barcode using your phone’s camera through the Amazon Store app.

This feature is available for both Android and iOS.

Amazon Allowances

This feature helps in setting allowances for a specific Amazon user in the form of gift cards. This can be considered as digital pocket money wherein, you choose how much allowance the specified user gets, and how frequently.

These few features will surely help you make the most of the Amazon. So, check them out and spread the word by recommending them to your friends.
