How to Setup AT&T Email in Outlook?

The best way to deal with AT&T email problems that you’re facing while logging in to your account from a web browser; is to use an email client platform like ‘MS Outlook’ to configure your AT&T email account and to use it without any hassle.  However, if you’ve no idea how to do it then, have a look here:

  • In order to set up AT&T email in Outlook, first launch the MS Outlook program. 
  • Then, click on the ‘Files’ section to select the ‘Add Account’ option from the drop-down menu.
  • Under it, choose ‘Manual setup or additional server types’ as well as the ‘Next’ button to further choose the ‘Service Page.’
  • From the service page, click on the option of ‘Internet E-mail’ and press the ‘Next’ button to enter the following information in the ‘User Information’ section—
      • Full Name
      • Full AT&T Email Address
  • Once done with it, select the ‘Account Type’ as either ‘POP’ or ‘IMAP’ in order to fill the following server information—

 

  • If you select IMAP:

 

        • Incoming E-mail Server: imap.mail.att.net
        • Incoming Port: 993
        • Outgoing Email Server: smtp.mail.att.net
        • Outgoing Port: 465
        • SSL: Yes
        • Authentication: Yes

 

  • If you select POP:

 

        • Incoming E-mail Server: inbound.att.net
        • Incoming Port: 995
        • Outgoing Email Server: outbound.att.net
        • Outgoing Port: 465
        • SSL: Yes
        • Authentication: Yes
  • Afterward, complete your ‘Logon Information’ column with the following details:
      • Login with: SSL Encrypted Connection
      • Email Address: AT&T Email ID
      • Password: AT&T Email Account Password

That’s it! In the end, complete the configuration process by pressing the ‘OK,’ ‘Next,’ and ‘Finish’ button.
