macOS Catalina or version 10.15 is the newest operating system released by Apple for Mac computers. As it is a new version, definitely it includes various new features and functions. Maybe most of you want to know this. In macOS Catalina, instead of syncing your mobile with the iTunes app, you can use the Finder app.

1.    Launch the Finder app from your Mac Dock.

2.    Look under the Devices in the left side menu.

3.    Select your iPhone or iPad by clicking on its name.

This opens your device on the right side with various options. You’ll see options to update your iPhone, restore your iPhone, backup section to manage backups, and options for syncing contents. You can select the content that you want to sync on your Mac.

Syncing Music

1.    Launch the Finder app from your Mac Dock.

4.    Open the ‘Music’ tab.

5.    Click on the box of ‘Sync Music onto [Device Name]’ to enable Music syncing.

6.    Select what you want to sync, ‘Enter music library’ or ‘Selected playlists, artists, albums, or genres’ from the Sync section.

7.    Now, from the Options section, choose an option.

8.    Select playlists, artists, albums, or genre.

9.    Click on ‘Apply’ button at the bottom.

5.    Select ‘Automatically include’ option.

6.    Open the drop-down list and select ‘All unwatched’ or any other option of your choice.

7.    Open the next (episodes of) drop down and select an option ‘all shows’ or ‘selected shows.’

8.    Click the box of the shows that you want to sync if you’ve chosen ‘selected shows.’

9.    Then click on the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom.

10.    Hit ‘Sync’ to start syncing your selected TV shows.

Syncing Podcasts

1.    Launch the Finder app.

2.    Select your iPhone or iPad by clicking on its name in the left side menu.

3.    Open the ‘Podcasts’ tab.

4.    Click on the box of ‘Sync Podcasts onto  [Device Name].

5.    Select ‘Automatically copy.’

6.    Open the drop-down list and select ‘all unplayed’ or another option.

7.    Open the next drop-down list and choose an option ‘all podcasts’ or ‘selected shows.’

8.    For selected shows, select the podcasts that you want to sync.

9.    Click on ‘Apply.’

10.    Then click ‘Sync.’
