I always wanted the Brandy doll as a kid

Man, that takes me back to my youth. I always wanted the Asian bratz doll since I believed she was the funniest. But you know, if you are a blond blue eyed little woman then everyone will gift you the blonde blue eyed doll… it was rather dull when all of Animal Crossing Items the dolls you own are clones of each other, I wanted variety

Cultural apropriation could be a problem, but people frequently speak about it the wrong way. For example, if a new culture adopts state a hairstyle and it turns into a popular fad, but the civilization that invented it is seen as backwards for using it, that’s problematic cultural apropriation.

I always wanted the Brandy doll as a kid, and my favorite Barbie was the dark skinned one with all the white and purple princess dress since she was pretty. When I would play Barbie video games, Teresa was my favourite character.

I am white and if I was little I needed a Black Barbie more than anything. This is the 80s in Canada. My mother went to a lot of different stores trying to find a single and eventually had to special order it. The reason for for my desire? My best friend was Black and it made no sense to me if the folks around me weren’t all white that my dolls should all be white. I also remember thinking how lovely the Dark Barbie was.

YES I had been obsessed with spice as a small kid but everyone made me like ginger and sporty spice shit. And my parents purchased me american girl books about samantha even though I enjoyed Josefina the best?! My sisters and I be certain my niece gets dolls of every shape, colour, and size–boys and gals and probably 1 afternoon nonbinary pals.

It lacks a kiss button. The number of people that would most likely dislike this to oblivion most likely outnumbers the number of individuals who like it.If I will customise my character in a game I play as a very big man, frequently not white. I am a white woman, I just enjoy playing as somebody who looks different to me. I don’t try to recreate myself, who doesn’t interest me.

There is likely some remark somebody made within this thread supporting this behavior and got downvoted to shreds. Maybe.Yeah I’m like that. I can not wear makeup because I would have to pre-blend a pay up every moment. I move from”mostly white with dark hair” to”that girl appears blended” throughout the year. Once a coworker asked my brother (different mother’s, he’s very light ) if I was really his sister or not.

Hell, I only play as a female character in matches if I can. I’m a dude every single day of my own life and sometimes I need a little selection, perhaps I wanna observe a badass, take no shit girl in my matches rather than a fundamental ass dude yet again. Seriously can’t understand why folks wish to gatekeep how a person enjoys their movie games/ttrpgs/whatever when its a form of escapism from animal crossing items new horizons real life, let me do my thing and have fun!
