Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada Launches Online Application Portal for 7 Immigration Programs

Easier processing for everyone!

7 immigration programs are now easier to apply to after Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada launched an online application portal for them.

The immigration programs have made the transition from paper-based to an online application process.

The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched an online permanent residence application portal on April 1, 2021.

The Immigration Department of Canada has digitalized the application process for a number of permanent residency applications.

Here are the 7 immigration programs that now have their own online application portal, meaning there is no more requirement of submitting papers:

  • Non-Express Entry Provincial Nominee Program
  • Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot
  • Agri-Food Pilot
  • Atlantic Immigration Pilot
  • Quebec Selected Investor Program
  • Quebec Entrepreneur Program
  • Quebec Self-Employed Persons Program

In a statement that was released by the IRCC to the CIC News, they said that they had been developing tools to make the entire immigration system more efficient before the pandemic. But because of the strict regulations caused by the pandemic, they had to accelerate the entire plan due to lockdown restrictions.

Submitting online applications means that there is no need to go out and fall in line to submit your applications.
