Instagram’s IGTV feature is becoming popular day by day.

IGTV was launched by former Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom in a live event in San Francisco. It was released on 20 June 2018. IGTV is a standalone vertical video sharing platform owned by Instagram made especially for smartphones. IGTV can be operated in android and ios. It offers videos in more than 30 languages. Unlike Instagram, it allows users to upload vertical videos up to 10 minutes. The basic functionality of IGTV is also available within the Instagram app and website despite it being a standalone application.

Getting started with IGTV is easy. You can download the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your mobile. If you already have the Instagram app signed-in on your phone, you get an option to sign into IGTV with the same account. Log into your account and you are ready to use it. Your IGTV videos can also be seen by people who are not your Instagram followers as it is open for all and you can also use this feature to increase engagement.

Instagram on 7 February 2019 announced that IGTV previews will begin showing up in main feeds of the users. It’s that you would have to tap the one-minute previews to go and watch the full video in IGTV.

Finally, if we talk about making use of IGTV for Instagram’s in-app analytics for your video: it will tell you about your engagement in terms of your views, likes, and comments. It will help you increasing real followers for Instagram.
