Is Healthy Butter A Myth?

Nutralite butter is very popular as a healthy butter, better than regular butter. It’s used in making delicacies and is used as healthy butter spreads. It’s also known as table margarine because it’s made from plant extracts and hence, it is looked upon as a much better healthy alternative for the goodness of your body and heart. A healthy butter is the one which has less MUFA and PUFA. It also has a lesser amount of saturated fat. Butter, on the other hand, is made from animal fat and hence contains cholesterol which is considered unsafe for good health. The controversy surrounding butter continues for ages and there is no unanimous agreement till now. According to some, a regular butter clogs the arteries increasing the chances of strokes while others claim it’s delicious and has some nutritional qualities too. Moreover, it tastes and smells better than margarine.

Butter is a dairy product made out of milk and the process involves separating solid fats from the buttermilk. Though butter is made from sheep, goat, buffalo milk, cow milk is considered the best for making butter. There is the butter of different types, like salted butter, grass-fed ones, clarified butter and so on. Each of them is different from the perspective of ingredients and methods of production.

Butter has a delicious taste and a rich flavour owing to the concentration of fat, and this quality makes it a favourite among a sizeable section of people. It is mainly used for sauteing and panfrying. It helps prevent sticking of food to the pan. Butter is also used by the bakers to add volume and texture to their products. Butter is consumed as popular spreads over bread, pasta and some desserts. Though butter is notorious for having high calory, it has some important ingredients. It has some important vitamins good for your skin, immunity to you, and a boost to the eye-health. It’s a source of vitamin A which is good for your skin. There is vitamin E also in it that is good for your heart and is supposed to be an antioxidant. Butter contains riboflavin, niacin, and other many useful ingredients.
