Keer lodge at Pine Lake Carnforth

Morecambe Bay stretches from the south west coast of Cumbria to Fleetwood in Lancashire, taking in coastal towns such as Grange Over Sands and Morecambe. The lodge is situated on the edge of a designated area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), with some of the most scenic coastal villages such as Silverdale and Arnside being right on your doorstep.

The Cumbrian Lake district needs little introduction and is only a short drive or bus journey away. No trip to the lakes would be complete without a boat trip on lake Windemere which is only 30 minutes away from the Lodge. For the more adventurous the fells offer some of the most dramatic hiking territory the U.K. has to offer. Keer lodge at Pine Lake Carnforth

Leighton Moss RSPB reserve on the edge of Morecambe bay, boasts the largest reed bed in north-west England and is home to a wide range of spectacular wildlife including otters, bearded tits, marsh harriers, egrets and red deer. There are lots of activities and events on throughout the year to inspire nature loving families.

The crag overlooks the village of Warton which is an easy 15 minute walk from the lodge and is served by 2 pubs and a brewery. The crag is a mixture of limestone grassland with scrub and woodland. The site is nationally important for butterflies and moths and many interesting plants can be found here. Peregrine Falcons regularly nest in the Main Quarry. Should you venture to the top you will be rewarded by uninterupted views over Morecambe bay to the Lakeland hills and on a clear day the Isle of Man.

Trungs Vietnamese restaurant has been one of our go to restaurants ever since it opened back in 1997 and has never disappointed in both the quality and consistently good service provided by Ken and his team. Bookings are recommended particularly at weekends as it does get busy. A takeaway service is also available.  Pine Lake Resort UK

The bar and restaurant serves locally sourced home cooked gastropub food alongside locally brewed real-ales and some first class wines. The bar area is quite relaxed (walking boots won’t be frowned on) and the restaurant a little more formal, open all day for light snacks, lunches and dinners, as well as wine tastings.
