List of Upcoming Feature Films Under Marvel

Feature films under Marvel have raked in big bucks over the years and continue to do so. The most recent example was Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. While Infinity War made a little over $2 billion, Infinity War earned more than $2.7 billion. We saw Marvel rule the global box office with the films as mentioned above. However, with phase 3 ending with Avengers: Endgame, Marvel released a list of upcoming movies that will mark the beginning of phase 4. Also, there are a few other popular films under Marvel that will be released but do not come under the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The slate of upcoming films is full of reboots, sequels and prequels. So, here is a list of a few upcoming movies that will entertain you soon.

Black Widow

The standalone feature film will star Scarlett Johansson in the titular role. Johansson will play the character of Natasha Romanoff. Her character was killed off in Avengers: Endgame after she went to Vormir with Hawkeye to retrieve the soul stone. She eventually gave her life so that Clint could get the infinity stone and take it back to earth.

The Cate Shortland directorial is a prequel and is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War and before Avengers: Endgame. The storyline will see the character in the hands of KGB at birth and will show her becoming an ultimate Russian operative. We will also see the story move to present-day New York after the USSR breaks up and the Russian government tries to kill her there. The film will show her visiting her past to solve the issues of the present. It is going to release on November 6, 2020.

New Mutants

The upcoming film is a blend of science fiction and horror. New Mutants will revolve around five young mutants, discovering their supernatural abilities in a secret facility. It will also show how the 5 of them try to escape a place that is holding them against their will. This is all we know about the storyline of the film. Josh Boone has directed new Mutants. It stars Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Alice Braga as Celi Reyes, and Blu Hunt as Mirage.

According to reports, the movie was scheduled for a premiere in 2018 but got delayed due to multiple reshoots and a few other problems. It was planned for a release in April 2020 but got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. New Mutants now has a release date of August 28, 2020.

The Eternals

The American superhero film is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Eternals are an immortal alien race created by the celestials to protect the earth. The movie’s story will begin after the events of Avengers: Endgame. We will see the group reuniting to protect the earth from Deviants (a race of humanoids).

The Eternals is one of the most anticipated films of MCU’s phase 4. The film will feature big names such as Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Salma Hayek (Ajak), Angelina Jolie (Thena), and Kit Harington (Dane Whitman). It is set for a premiere on February 12, 2021.

The King’s Man

The King’s Man is a prequel to the first two Kingsman movies. The movie will feature Ralph Fiennes as Duke of Oxford and Harris Dickinson as Conrad. The story will see the Duke and Conrad try and stop criminals from plotting a war on a global scale to kill millions of people. Matthew Vaughn will direct it. According to reports, the director confirmed that this prequel would have a connection to the stories showcased in the first two installments of the franchise. It will also set up a lot of Kingsman 3. The King’s Man will tell fans a little bit more about the history of the super-secretive Golden circle. The movie is set for a premiere in September 2020. According to reports, the premiere might get delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
