Luxury Places with the Best High Tea in Singapore

There are days when we like spending the weekend afternoon drinking high tea served in a gilded-tiered stand and indulging in tiny sandwiches and scones.

Going out for high tea in Singapore is a wonderful experience that allows us to enjoy the company of great friends and even greater food. Luckily, there are many establishments whose ambience lends itself to this activity.

Here are some of the places where you can have exquisite high tea in Singapore, whether alone or with friends!

L’Espresso

If your idea of Sunday afternoons is relaxing and drinking tea with family and friends, then L’Espresso may be the perfect spot for you.

Located at the fancy, five-star Goodwood Park Hotel, it’s a one-stop shop that will get the heart of every tea lover racing. Its menu features an impressive assortment of English pastries, desserts and finger sandwiches to enjoy with its high teas.

For a filling afternoon, we suggest complementing your tea with either the Beef Pastrami with Sauerkraut or Emmental Cheese and Egg Truffle with Chives.

We like that the variety of their treats can satisfy an entire family, including small children!

Isabel Bar

When it comes to ambience, we think nothing can beat what Isabel Bar has to offer. Imagine hand-painted walls, fancy furnishings, high-end silk rugs, and a stunning onyx bar counter while drinking tea!

For as low as $89, you’ll be treated to an appetizing selection of high tea paired with dainty and savoury finger food and snacks. We particularly enjoyed the traditional English scones, prune and dark chocolate brownies and smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches.

If high tea isn’t enough by then, you could order from its rich selection of the best-tasting hand-picked wines, champagnes, tonics and elixirs. It’s hard to say no to a shoot of booze on a weekend afternoon!

Atlas

As it’s one of the most acclaimed bars in Singapore, you can’t make a list of the best places for high tea in Singapore without mentioning Atlas!

Popular for its glamorous art-deco-inspired interiors, Atlas is the perfect place to wind down over high tea. It serves two high tea selections: Atlas and Prestige, both of which come with savoury treats such as watercress brioche, passionfruit cheesecake, and truffled egg brioche.

The best thing is that each treat is handmade to order, so rest assured that every finger food will be delivered to your table fresh!

Atlas gets packed quickly during the day, so we recommend making your weekend reservations with at least a day’s notice.

1864

You don’t know what luxury high tea in Singapore means until you’ve tried 1864.

Located in Sofitel Singapore City Centre, this swanky lounge’s tea set could set you back almost a hundred dollars. Each set comes with a spread of fan-favorite delights such as the fiery mini beef cheek rendang aioli, savory truffle egg and caviar croissant and earl grey scones with dried fruits.

Our personal favorites are the baked Croissant with truffle eggs and the peanut butter financier with ganache. These are both in-house made by Executive Pastry Chef Sam Leong.

While the majority of diners come here for high tea, most of them end their afternoon with craft cocktails or champagne.
