Plastivision India- A harbinger of global progress for India’s plastics industry

AIPMA (All India Plastic Manufacturers Association) is the apex body for the Indian plastics industry and organizes a mega event named Plastivision India which is a major harbinger of progress and growth for the industry as a whole. The next event is slated for the year 2023 and will take place on the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th of February at Goregaon in Mumbai. The last edition was held this year and was a resounding success by all means. The event has witnessed 10 editions over the last 28 years and each one has been more successful than the last.

This mega plastic exhibition is now the go-to platform for several companies and individuals to unveil new products and ideas, grow their business networks across the industry, gather knowledge and learn more about the latest technologies and exchange ideas with global counterparts, leaders and peers. Plastivision has earned pride of place in the top 10 rankings for top global plastic industry events owing to its considerable impact. AIPMA is the chief organizer behind this event, being the biggest non-profit industry apex organization that works for the welfare of the Indian plastics sector. The event was first started in the year 1992 and has obtained approval from UFI, the renowned exhibition authority based in Paris. The global appeal of the event is hard to miss for sure!

AIPMA was founded in the year 1945 and has a rich history spanning 7 decades and counting. It is the oldest such apex body and the biggest one that represents the Indian plastics industry. The head office is located in Mumbai with regional offices spread across Chennai and Delhi. The membership count stands at approximately 22,000 members throughout 27 affiliated Indian associations. AIPMA covers various industry segments in terms of its representation. These include manufacturers of additives, processors of plastic, makers of moulds and dies, manufacturers of machinery, exporters, traders, institutions, manufacturers and consultants. It is known for its seminars, global and national trade shows, conferences, seller and buyer meets, training programs and other events. Placement sessions are also held for the plastic industry along with taking care of liaison between the industry and Government. Global trade shows are organized by AIPMA not just in India but also in Korea, Germany, Taiwan, the United States, Saudi Arabia and China. With Plastivision, AIPMA has certainly scripted a new success story for the Indian plastics industry, not just nationally but also worldwide.
