Researchers Expose The Microsoft Office Bug That Can Get Installed Through The Word Documents

Microsoft Office Users are vulnerable to a security threat of malware as indicated by research.

The highly popular tech giant gives office com setup to users for performing variable tasks of daily life. The indication of bug associated with word document seems to be a threat to users. The bug is not yet resolved and is a problem for all versions of the Microsoft productivity suite.

The issue was originally raised by McAfee however, the security experts of FireEye comments that they were aware of the malware but were reluctant to release the news before the issue gets resolved by the tech giant.

The issue can be understood as when a user is targeted with the malware he/she receives an email with the Microsoft word document along with an embedded OLE2link object. On opening the word document a malicious script gets downloaded in the user’s device.
The presence of bugs has been detected in late January. Microsoft has announced that the issue will get resolved with its next release. McAfee has also warned the users earlier to not to accept the file from untrusted sources. As expected the tech giant will not lose its popularity by leaving its users vulnerable and so Microsoft has already announced that the issue will get resolved with the next update of the office setup. The word documents are essential for daily use in business companies and so a huge no. of companies and individuals remain vulnerable until the issue gets resolved.
As for now, it is better for the users to avoid accepting and opening the word documents from untrusted sources to prevent any form of malware affecting their system or device. The office setup is highly efficient in its working and hence remains popular for its versatile nature of software.
