Shimla Manali Itinerary

Shimla, the Himachal capital, is situated in the stunning mountain ranges of the state’s interior. It spans a 12km (7.4 miles) plateau with steep forested hillsides dropping into either direction. The summer months are the best months for visitors, except a few months, winters bring snow, and many days are covered with snow. We aren’t just going to take you through Shimla, but we also have Manali as a bonus. It’s the Shimla Manali Itinerary.

Manali is a beautiful hill destination, and tourists are not easily fooled. It is a popular tourist destination, but it offers many unique experiences that are not available in other hill resorts. Old Manali is beautiful with its flowing rivers and twittering birds, the sweeping eucalyptus forests, charming little vegetables, small kitchens on the local market and cafes selling delicious local food at excellent prices.

Arrival at Chandigarh-Shimla

The nearest airport to Shimla, Chandigarh, is, and it’s the easiest way to get there. On our way to Shimla, we will stop at the Pinjore Gardens, a traditional Mughal garden featuring seven roof terraces, large pavilions, and spectacular fountains. Shimla is a great place to relax in Northern India, away from the hustle and bustle.

You can check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing after your arrival. You will be energized for the next day by enjoying a delicious meal and a night at the hotel.

Shimla to Kufri, Shimla

You have the opportunity to visit Kufri on this day. After breakfast, get ready to set off for the destination. There are many places to visit in Kufri, such as Mahasu Peak and Indira tourist park. Evening walks can be taken on the Shimla Mall Road and Shimla Church, both examples of British Colonialism in India.

English people preferred colder places, and Shimla was their choice. It boasted its stunning scenery. The Temple of Jakhoo and the Temple of Hanuman are worth visiting. It is worth visiting the icons of Shimla, the neo-gothic tower of the Church of Christ (built in the 1850s), and the Tudor Library house. You can return to your hotel for a great meal to end another wonderful day.

Shimla to Manali

Start the day with breakfast and a fun-filled sightseeing tour to Manali. Snow-covered hills surround Manali. The entire journey from Shimla towards Manali is a fantastic experience. The trip from Shimla, India, to Manali is 250km long. But you won’t want it to end. This journey allows you to experience the best that India has to provide.

It is worth stopping by every five minutes to take a photo. It speaks to the beauty and scenic beauty of the area. Check-in at the hotel after reaching Manali. Relax! You can also explore the local markets and try authentic food. The hotel will be your overnight accommodation.

Manali

After breakfast, you can head to Solang Valley to see its meadows. There are also options for adventure activities, and Paragliding, Skiing are the highlights of these activities. You don’t have to be a thrill-seeker to enjoy Paragliding and Skiing. Instead, you can visit the Hadimba temple and other temples dedicated to Lord Rama or Vishnu.

Afternoon, you can visit the famous hot sulphur springs. You can also stroll along Mall Road and the Tibetan Monastery to end the day in peace. Spend some time at the Monastery in peace and then return to the hotel. Also, for a quick change, you can stop by the restaurant to have dinner, and it’s over.

Rohtang Pass, Manali

Enjoy the stunning scenery of the snow capped mountains all year round on an excursion from the Rohtang Pass. Sometimes called “Snow Hill ”, the day’s fifth, is dedicated to experiencing the Rohtang Pass. Popular tourist spots Rohtang Pass were closed between January and April due to solid glaciers throughout the state.

Manali is 51 km away from Rohtang Pass. Because it is covered by snow, this pass is almost impossible to access for 8 months. The Border Security force must approve people’s entry to Rohtang Road. There are shops along Rohtang Road that rent snow wear, coats, and gumboots, and you can also reserve them for an additional fee if you need them.
