Step 1: Repair your MS office App

The error code 30180-4 will be resolved when MS Office repair tool replaces all the damaged or corrupted system files. Follow the below steps to run repair tool to resolve the error.

  • Go to the Control Panel using Start.
  • Click on the option of Programs and choose the option of Programs and Features.
  • Click on the MS Office software that you want to repair.
  • At last click on the option of Change.
  • Choose the option of Quick Repair and click on the Repair. If Quick Repair didn’t fix the error code 30180-4,choose the option of Online Repair and click on the Repair.

Step 2: Remove the Microsoft Office manually to resolve the error code 30180-4

If the error code 30180-4 is re-occurring then you can continue with the following steps to remove the MS Office program from your device.

Step 3Remove the Windows Installer packages

  • Find the MS Office 16 installation folder, classically situated in C:\Program Files\.
  • Right-click on the Microsoft Office 16 folder and choose the option of Delete.

Step 4: Eliminate all the MS office scheduled tasks

  • Go to the Command Prompt window as an administrator.
  • At the command prompt, type the following instructions and press the Enter button after each one:
  • schtasks.exe /delete /tn “\Microsoft\Office\Office Click To run Service Monitor”

schtasks.exe /delete /tn “\Microsoft\Office\Office Automatic Updates”

schtasks.exe /delete /tn “\Microsoft\Office\Office Subscription Maintenance”

Step 5: Use Task Manager to end the Click-to-Run tasks

  • Go to the Task Manager and have a click on the Process tab

If the following processes are running, then have a right-click on each one, and then click on the End task after you choose each process.

  • .exe
  • setup*.exe

Step 6: Delete the MS Office files

  • Go to the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • In the Open box, enter the %Program Files%, and then click on OK.
  • Delete the Microsoft Office 16 folder.
  • Open the Run dialog box and enter %Program Files(x86)%, and then have a click on OK button.
  • Again, Delete the Microsoft Office folder.

Step 7: Eliminate the MS office registry sub keys

  • Go to the Registry Editor.
  • Delete the following registry sub keys:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppVISV
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
  • Delete the MS office key

Step 8: Download and install the MS office

  • Go to the “My Account” page
  • Select the option of Install.
  • Click on the option of Run or the equivalent depending on the browser that you’re using.
  • When you see that you are good to go, click on the option of All done.
