The Gray Man to Be Adapted Into a Big Budget Film by Netflix

Online video streaming giant Netflix has announced a feature film project worth $200 million. Starring Hollywood A-listers Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, The Grey Man will be an ambitious film project helmed by Avengers fame Joe Russo and Anthony Russo. The spy thriller will be based on American novelist Mark Greaney’s The Gray Man book series.

A “High Budget” Cat and Mouse Game

Ryan Gosling will play the character of Court Gentry, who is a former CIA operative and assassin. Chris Evans will portray the role of Lloyd Hansen, Gentry’s former colleague at the CIA. The Russo Brothers helmed film will have a plot that involves a cat and mouse game between the two men.

Joe Russo has written the script of the much-anticipated spy thriller. The movie is being produced by AGBO, an independent film and television company headed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The film is also being produced by Mike Larocca, along with Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for Roth Kirschenbaum. According to reports, the international location is being finalized for this project, and the directors are planning for an early 2021 filming schedule. The Russo brothers were reportedly developing the film’s script for the past few years.

According to reports, the director duo wants to build a successful franchise with a wish that Ryan Gosling reprises the role of Court Gentry in each installment. The directors reportedly stated that due to their great professional relationship with Netflix, releasing The Gray Man on the online video streaming platform will be perfect.

According to tor reports, a lot of people have tried to make this book adaptation film. Initially, Christopher McQuarrie planned to direct the movie in the year 2016. The project fell through, and after four long years, it was picked by Netflix in the year 2020.

Gentry travels to France to save Fitzroy’s from Lloyd, a part of an English company who wants to kill Gentry to carry out a deal worth billions of dollars in Nigeria. The book’s storyline also looks at the angle where the Nigerian President also wants Gentry killed so that he can avenge his brother’s assassination.
