Virat Kohli Shares His Emotion of Playing an Intense Test Match

India captain Virat Kohli on Wednesday said that nothing can replace the feeling to play an “intense game in whites” and he also added that he feels blessed to play Test cricket for India. Virat Kohli is considered as one of the best batsmen in the world who has so far played 86 Tests for the country. He has amassed a whopping 7240 runs so far which also included 27 hundreds and 22 half-centuries. Apart from that, he has also played 248 ODIs and 82 T20Is smashing 11867 and 2794 runs respectively.

“Nothing comes close to playing an intense game in whites. What a blessing to be able to play Test cricket for India,” Kohli said in an Instagram post. In one of the picture, he can be seen playing a shot, while the other image shows that Kohli walking with a helmet in his hand while looking at the sky.

His post took no time to become viral and crossed 20 lakh likes within a few minutes and also got lots of comments from his fans. While some shared heart emojis in the comment section, others called him the greatest batsman. There one user called him as “Heart of Indian team,” whereas another commented, “Long may you reign.”

However, Virat Kohli has played some good knocks in the longer format in tough conditions in England and Australia, where pitches are known for fast bowlers as well. Under his leadership, India registered their maiden Test series win in Australia after a gap of 71 years apart from reaching to the top of the ICC rankings in the longer format of the game.

His 7,240 runs in 86 Tests came at an average of 53.6 which also included 27 centuries and 22 half-centuries. According to an India Today report, in a recent interaction with former England batsman Kevin Pietersen, Kohli had shared that Test cricket made him a better person and he loves playing this as well.
