The Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program was designed to encourage the industry to develop innovative, commercial products that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of federal classified operations and provide new capabilities to the IC. Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) is an important part of NSA’s commercial cybersecurity strategy to quickly deliver secure cybersecurity solutions that leverage commercial technologies and products.

All CSfC contracts are awarded under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and are the only technology contracts that can be awarded to support a Top Secret facility. Contracts are awarded under a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The BAA lists specific technology capabilities of interest to the federal government.

The Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program was created to provide the US intelligence community with access to commercial technology that can be used for classified purposes. The program allows companies to submit proposals for products or services that can be used for classified applications.

The submissions are reviewed by a panel of experts from the intelligence community, and the best proposals are selected for funding. The CSfC program has been successful in identifying and funding a number of innovative technologies that have been used by the intelligence community. One notable example is the development of a secure messaging system that is used by the US military.

The system, known as the Joint Enterprise Messaging System (JEMS), was developed by a company called Silent Circle and funded by the CSfC program. JEMS is a secure, end-to-end messaging system that is used by the US military to communicate classified information. The CSFC program is an important part of the US intelligence community’s efforts to identify and adopt commercial technologies that can be used for classified purposes. The program has a proven track record of success and has helped the intelligence community to stay ahead of the curve in the ever-changing world of technology.
