What will be the IPL 2020 Future as India lockdown till 14th April

The outbreak of Coronavirus is not stooping yet and due to it India, the country with the 2nd highest population has been lockdown for 21 days till 14th April. Earlier, BCCI postponed the Indian Premier League 2020 from 29th March to 15th April but now it seems like IPL 2020 might be cancelled by seeing the current situation.

Earlier, some reports also suggested that IPL 2020 might take place in the month of September but that time Asia Cup is clashing and from October 24th T20 World Cup is going to start.

Even the BCCI president and the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly said he “doesn’t have an answer” when asked about IPL 2020 future. Even if the things get in control in this 21days lockdown then to it will take around 10-15 days to start the IPL as many preparations had to be done.

As every player is in their home and spending time with their family the Indian captain Virat Kohli shared a video with his wife and asked requested everyone to follow what has been told by the GOI. His tweet reads, “These are testing times and we need to wake up to the seriousness of this situation. Please let us all follow what’s been told to us and stand united please. It’s a plea to everyone”
